Oh yeah, guess what?

Nate's going to be a big brother! Mid (or hopefully early : ) December we will welcome a new dude or dudette to the L family.


So the big question now is - team pink OR

team blue?

Guesses are pretty split.

So, now we just have to be patient and wait (not one of my stronger virtues). What do ya'll think?

Aloooooha

We are back to the real world after a week in Maui/LA with the Davidson clan. We had so much fun hanging on the beach, hanging at the pool and just hanging. Of course, we haven't uploaded pictures yet, but here is a little sneak preview of kid heaven aka the pirate ship at our hotel. Nate was very brave and loved riding down the slide all by himself.

Scenes of Summer

It's FINALLY starting to feel like summer. love love loving the nice weather. A couple of weeks ago, we decided to start our summer fun (even though technically it was still cold). We headed out to Brentwood aka the country for some cherry picking.

Cherry picking was the perfect activity for Nate. He could run around, grab whatever he wanted (without hearing the word "no" for once) and throw things in his bucket. He was one happy little guy. Here he is sporting sunglasses only a mother could love (sorry baby, it's true).


The haul. The cherries weren't actually that good (maybe because Nate picked whatever he could find/reach), but it sure was fun.



Nate was just over the moon when he found this ladder to climb. We did end up having to say no...

We also made a trip to the Oakland Zoo. Nate and his buddy Ben were surprisingly still watching the Giraffe's eat lunch.



Nate hanging with his "crew." Best buddy Ben and his new little brother Brady, and Meg and Mike's darling girls, Grace and Claire. Meg came up to visit from LA for the weekend. We are hoping that very soon they come up for good!


We also did some indoor camping at Cousin Josh and Leslie's house with hubs relatives. Our outdoor camping trip got rained out (in June!). So..we improvised. Nate especially enjoyed rolling around on the half empty air mattress. He had lots of fun with his cousins, especially his new babysitters, Megan and Avery. While the ladies took a trip to the movies, the dudes played poker. Megan and Avery helped out and babysat Nate...it sounds like he had a lot of fun and only fell down one or two stairs.

Big Boy

My boys picked me up from BART after work yesterday and I opened the car door to find a big boy. Nate had his hair cut yesterday and boy does he look grown up. I am still getting used to it, but I think it's pretty cute. He played some hoops at the pool last night and fell and skinned both his knees. He was about to cry and then changed his mind and kept going. Such a big boy.


Nate and hubs have a boys night planned for tonight. I'm off to a company offsite at this gorge spot.


I will of course miss the boys, but I am looking forward to my facial, fancy dinner and most importantly, sleeping in tomorrow!! Happy weekend.

Technical Difficulties

My blogging effort has run into some technical difficulties related to uploading pictures. The issue? Hubs hasn't done it. And, true story, he prefers to upload our pics because I don't upload them in an organized fashion the way he likes. Now I know hubs is a blog reader, so maybe this subtle little nag hint will get the picture uploading process moving along : ) XO hubs.

In other news, it's definitely haircut time (#3!) at our house.
